The Department of Parks and Recreation was recently awarded a grant from the National Recreation and Park Association to implement Walk with Ease (WWE). This program features a free six-week exercise program developed by the Arthritis Foundation, aiming to reduce the pain of arthritis and improve overall health for our Prince George’s County residents. WWE classes are one-hour long and are offered three times per week, for six weeks. They consist of a combination of health education as well as warm up/cool down and walking exercises. Classes are taught by Arthritis Foundation-certified leaders, and are open to all county residents.
